Floor graphics are primarily distinguished by their anti-slip surface, which is usually a use-specific, anti-slip film, laminated over the self-adhesive graphic.

The underlying graphic is distinguished primarily by the type of adhesive used to adhere the graphic to the floor. Adhesive variations are suitable for surfaces such as concrete, asphalt, wooden floors, vinyl flooring, sealed concrete floors, etc.
