Flame Polishing For Acrylic
The edges of acrylic often have a frosty appearance after being router cut. Flame polishing edge treatment eliminates this.
Typically, the edge is prepared by scraping or using fine grit sandpaper to get a smooth edge.
A very tight flame is passed quickly along the edges at a steady speed.
If done properly, the polished edges will look transparent and smooth like glass.
